1. Introduction
Henrique de Oliveira ("we", "us", "our") built DevOps Monitor as a mobile application. This Privacy Statement explains what information the App accesses, how it is used, and your rights as a user.
We are committed to protecting your privacy. This app is designed with a local-first, privacy-respecting architecture.
2. Information We Do Not Collect
DevOps Monitor does not collect, store, or transmit any of the following to the developer or any third-party service:
- Your name, email address, or any personal identifiers
- Your Microsoft credentials or Personal Access Tokens
- Azure DevOps project data, pipeline results, or repository contents
- Usage statistics, app interactions, or crash reports
- Device identifiers or location data
3. Authentication Credentials
The App supports two sign-in methods. In both cases, your credentials are handled securely and locally:
- Microsoft Entra ID (SSO): Authentication is performed entirely through Microsoft's identity platform. Tokens issued by Microsoft are stored in the device's OS-provided secure storage and are used only to call the Azure DevOps API on your behalf.
- Personal Access Token (PAT): Your PAT is stored in the iOS Keychain (iOS) or Android Keystore (Android). It is encrypted at rest by the operating system. The token is only sent to
dev.azure.comto authenticate API requests.
🔒 Your tokens and credentials are stored only on your device. They are never sent to any server controlled by the developer.
4. Azure DevOps Data
The App connects directly to the official Microsoft Azure DevOps REST API to fetch and display your project data (pipelines, repositories, boards, artifacts). This data:
- Is fetched in real time and displayed in the App
- Is not cached to any external server
- Is not shared with the developer or any third party
- Remains subject to your organisation's Azure DevOps data policies
5. Analytics and Crash Reporting
DevOps Monitor does not integrate any third-party analytics SDK (such as Firebase Analytics, Mixpanel, or similar). We do not collect crash reports, usage events, or behavioural data.
6. Network Communications
The App makes network requests only to:
- dev.azure.com — Microsoft's Azure DevOps API
- login.microsoftonline.com — Microsoft Entra ID authentication (when using SSO)
No requests are made to servers operated by the developer.
7. Children's Privacy
The App is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.
8. Changes to This Privacy Statement
We may update this Privacy Statement from time to time. We encourage you to review this page periodically. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated statement.
